Gleptoferron is a raw material for the production of veterinary pharmaceuticals for prophylaxis and therapy of iron deficiency illnesses on young animals.

The development of gleptoferron results in a highly purified product which greatly improved tolerability in comparison to traditional iron-dextranes.
